Non-small cell lung cancer is also created or caused by and large by smoking in the background and it covers a variety of the histologic types but if the non-small cell cancer can be recognized at an early stage then it would usually be addressed surgically and although the overall outcome from lung cancer, after a lung cancer diagnosis, the overall outcome is not very encouraging, an early diagnosis in a non-small cell lung cancer can often be resected surgically and the patient cured. Regrettably that only happens in a relatively small percentage of the total population of individuals developing lung cancer.
